EDUCATION

I started working professionally in 2004, while I was still studying translation at the University of London Institute in Paris, and literature and applied languages at the University of Montpellier.

I also hold a First certificate in English from Cambridge University, and an A level in Literature and languages.

I hold a certificate for teaching English in French primary schools.

MY WORK

PUBLICATIONS

In 2009, I completed the English to French translation of a novel by English author Jim Yates, Oh! Père Lachaise. This beautiful tale is set in Purgatory, where Oscar Wilde and all the souls from Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris lead a pink-tinted existence. Publication of the French literature translation in 2010.

In 2008, I translated a biography of David Ogilvy, publicist.

In 2008 also, I have completed the translation of two books about the history of British Rosicrucianism for a French philosophers’ association, Arcadia, in Perpignan.

COMPANIES

Throughout the years, I have worked with many companies, of all sizes, individuals, organizations… It would make a long list to mention them all, so here are those with whom I work or have worked on a regular basis.

- 1 Website Designer, a website design enterprise based in the south of France. I am the translator for all their English to French translation needs. I have translated their website, as well as many of their clients’.

-Peter Murray, Murray Books editions, Australia. Murray books design beautiful “tactile” books (the TOOTS books), in the shape of the subject they describe (for example, their book about tennis has the shape and texture of a tennis ball). I have translated their website and handled the translation of e-mail conversations or phone discussions.

-Andrea Dodwell is an artist who works in Canada. She teaches the art of scrapbooking, rubber stamping, embossing, card making etc… I am responsible for her French translation needs.

-Vortex Media, American advertisement agency. I have translated for them various commercial documents from English into French.

-GELE Translations, Chinese translation agency. I have translated various documents for them, mainly user manuals and commercial documents.

-Top Translators, Indian translation Agency. I have translated professional Power Point presentations for softwares, as well as user guides and CVs.

TEACHING

I hold a certification to teach English in French primary schools (ages 6-10) and I taught English at the primary school of my village, Quérigut, for a year. This gives me the necessary background to undertake the translation of any educational contents.

I have also taught English in individual lessons, always with excellent results.
