French Literary Translation

From English into French only. This category includes novels, essays, and all literary texts. This type of translation involves a fair amount of research and creativity. It is very important for such types of texts to “read well and authentic”. On literary projects, I need to work closely with the author for the translation to be as perfect as possible, but always within the changes the author is willing to make; the final decision regarding an important alteration of the text always belongs to the author. An ongoing collaboration is necessary throughout the project. The price includes proofreading by a third party (my personal proofreader).
