Translation is not only about words, it is also about concepts, ideas and cultural aspects which cannot be ideally translated without a certain degree of adaptation.

This is particularly true when it comes to literary texts and artistic contents.

It is also the case for certain websites and commercial documents which need to be adapted to a different culture.

This is the reason why online translators and translation softwares will never be able to perform good translations. They can translate words and simple expressions, and you may find them to be quite useful for the translation of simple texts with no ambivalence; but they cannot capture the subtleties, hidden meanings or double senses of a text as a whole.

The variety of possible meanings for a given word is also a factor preventing automated translators from being fully efficient.

I offer fully human translations, and guarantee all the necessary research to ensure a perfectly translated text.

It is very important in literary texts, poetry, songs and such documents of artistic value to preserve the author’s ideas, as well as keep the “beauty” of the text itself, while adapting it to the culture of the target language.

I can provide translations which are as close as possible to the original text, but include the necessary changes to adapt English written texts to the French culture through a process called “artistic translation”, which involves a certain degree of creativity from the translator.
